THE BAND
Dear friends of Shatner....

You probably noticed that we haven't been doing much lately, and this is going to continue for the foreseeable future. We don't see any point in saying we have 'split up' because we haven't, exactly, but we're at least dormant!

Taking a break

It's generally felt that we need to freshen up, as we have been playing more or less the same set for a while. Also, we have had other priorities, namely the birth of Jim's second daughter Natalie in March, and various dayjob related traumas - Rick started a new business and Sarah has been through a lengthy industrial tribunal case (which she won!)

Goodbye to The Minz :-(

Another reason for our lack of activity is the departure of Chris Minz, our keyboard player. It is entirely amicable, Chris recently got married and is moving away to pastures new, we wish him all the best. We're all quite sentimental, Chris has been a key member of the band, it's the end of an era!

Coming soon - Jim's 'lost album'

On the plus side, there something quite interesting in the pipeline. In the late 90s and early 00s Jim made an album which has never seen the light of day. It's a long story but the recordings have finally become available and are due for release this year. It was intended as a bit of an epic and when it works it's pretty spectacular... orchestral sections... explosions... hoovers...the kitchen sink. Look out for that!

Finally a big thanks to everyone who has supported us over the past few years, we have had some great times and made some music we're really proud of.

Cheers!
