"Insanely catchy, densely packed, seamless pop perfection is the aim: and of the 13 songs not one misses by more than a whisker. At every level and in every department it's a classic." Whisperin and Hollerin

“A spirited, effervescent and truly enticing piece of work...genius.” contactmusic.com

“Blackly humorous, witty, catchy, genuinely inventive, and cleverer than the kaiser chiefs” tasty fanzine

"Stonkingly good....should stride the Earth with utter confidence" subba-cultcha.com

Hovers perilously over the unfashionable and dabbles with the pretentious but manages to maintain a toe-hold on healthy power pop. Sandman magazine

"Whether you’ve experienced Shatner before or not, I recommend you check out their finest hour. It will definitely strike a chord." thebeatsurrender.co.uk

I was pleasantly surprised by this 21stcenturymusic.com

"It’s really great having Shatner back, and on this type of form we’ll be seeing much more of them"

Vibrations magazine

"This is an important album, not just in the context of local music...listen and be amazed."
The Music Guru Online

"Classic guitar pop...they undoubtedly know how to write a decent tune...ambitious and multilayered."
The Leeds Guide

"This is an album whose tunes will hook into your brain until intrusive surgery is needed to dig 'em out. The weakest tracks would happily be used as singles by other bands."
Mono magazine

"Tight, atmospheric pop rock...confident arrangements. Maybe one day the kids will realise that cool is not all that cool, until then Shatner may have to make do with a few good record reviews."
Leedsmusicscene.net

"For a local band, their ambition is frightening. who else would conceive, endeavour and make a 13-tack concept album concerning timeless time? The truth is, no-one has the sheer Shatner knackers to at least try, and these guys pull the job off with aplomb. Amazing, but devilishly simple, catchy music; heck, it's metronomic!"
No-Title magazine

Very well conceived, extremely well crafted and beautifully delivered... a superb piece of pop escapism that's absolutely rammed with professionalism an overflowing with quality...I just wonder whether Shatner end up putting themselves outside the commercial loop simply by being too stylish and too maturely creative. Thirteen O'Clock' is a real pleasure to partake by putting musical finesse, educated story-telling and contemporary poetry back into pop-rock It really is a classy piece of work and Shatner are quite clearly a pretty unique band - I love it!!
